Thanksgiving Tabletop 2021

As Thanksgiving approaches, it’s the perfect time to transform your dining table into a welcoming space that reflects the warmth and beauty of the season. One way to elevate your holiday hosting is by creating a stunning charcuterie board!

Color Palette:

Much like your table design, the color palette of your charcuterie board can bring in warm, fall tones to match the season. Deep burgundy grapes, dark olives, rich orange-hued cheeses, and vibrant reds from fresh pomegranate and peppers are the chosen items for this year's display!

Charcuterie Arrangement:

The beauty of this board lies in its diversity of textures and flavors. Start by placing larger items like cheese blocks, sliced meats, and spreads as anchors on your board. Add seasonal fruits like grapes, blackberries, and pomegranate seeds to bring freshness and sweetness to your spread. This not only balances the savory elements but also gives a nod to fall’s tones.

Seasonal Touches:

To make your charcuterie board Thanksgiving-ready, incorporate elements that reflect the holiday’s spirit. Dried pine cones and sprigs of rosemary are used as decorative touches, adding an earthy, rustic vibe, perfect for a holiday table setting. You could also add small bowls of mixed nuts and dried fruit to further enhance the board’s autumnal feel.

Pairing Options:

Don’t forget to pair your charcuterie board with wine or a signature holiday drink. This year's chosen beverage is Sauvignon Blanc! A white wine can be a crisp contrast to the heavier, savory elements, or you could opt for a light red wine or a sparkling cider for guests to enjoy.

Final Touches:

Arranging items like crackers, breadsticks, and jams around the board makes it easy for guests to create their own perfect bite. One of the personal touches I added to my charcuterie board this year was a Raspberry Peach Jam I purchased during my trip out east to Briermere Farms on Long Island this fall! Small details, such as scattering fresh herbs or a rustic wooden cutting boards, will tie everything together and add a refined yet cozy feel to your Thanksgiving spread.

With these simple yet thoughtful elements, your Thanksgiving charcuterie board will serve as both a delicious appetizer and a beautiful conversation piece. It’s the perfect way to bring family and friends together over food, creating memories that will last long after the holiday.

Happy Thanksgiving and happy hosting!

Sincerely,
